Illegal content on website

Post by Safarigent » Thu Jan 12, 2012 8:36 pm

http://gunaccessory.com/IOF/22-revolver.htm

This page advises us to use the .22 revolver as being ideal for hunting!!
I wonder if the owner of the website is foolhardy or just foolish

I think you have posted incorrect link by mistake. It is talking about some meeting of Export Import Facilitation Committee.

Anyways discussing about hunting is not illegal. Only the real act of hunting without legal permission, of the animals that are under Schedule I, II, III and IV of Wildlife Protection Act of 1972 is illegal. Even animals under Schedule I, II, III and IV of Wildlife Protection Act of 1972 can be hunted as provided under Section 11 and Section 12 of Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. Moreover animals under Schedule V i.e. common crow, fruit bats, mice and rats can be hunted without the permissions required under the provisions of Section 11 ansd 12 of Wildlife Protection Act of 1972.

even the iof website advertises their ammo as being good for hunting.
I had started a thread re: this a few years ago.

Mentioning or advertising a gun or ammunition as good for hunting is not illegal. Common crow, fruit bats, mice and rats can be hunted without the legal permissions required under Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. Only the actual act of hunting animals which are under Schedule I, II, III and IV of Wildlife Protection Act of 1972, without legal permission is illegal. Even the hunting of animals under Schedule I, II, III and IV with legal permission as provided under Section 11 and Section 12 is legal. It is another matter that such permission is rarely given.
