Re: ARMS MANUAL a must have
Naga Sir jokes apart, with your kind permission,
I refered " D. R. Prem's LAW OF ARMS & EXPOPLOSIVE with rules" published by ASHOKA LAW HOUSE, New Delhi
5th edition, for my arms license. I bought this book few years back in Mumbai.
When I asked to few of the law book sellers at that time ,that I want , Arms Act & Arms Rules , they gave me a very strange look.
In short it was a difficult find at that time. But this book has helped me alot.
Definately one day when I'll be lucky enough, I will read the one suggested by you.
Regards.
Ps: I think I must get lucky fast since you can help with the source also.

there is bare act of Arms law and rules, which can be had at any law bookshop for 150 buck, but with the arms manual the arms act (bare act) comes free as well.
its good to know the law as it keeps one out of troubles. lol

No, I meant to say there is hardly any awarness of this 'Arms Act and Arms rules'
certainly in Mumbai , everyone is so bussy in their life, actually people here prefer just a source of livehood, rather than a GUN.
Regards.

Re: ARMS MANUAL a must have
I understand that. But source of livelihood hasn't been a cakewalk ever.
Although there wasn't the unprecedented prosperity all over India in medieval centuries, rich and poor alike had arms as a mark of alert responsible citizen. Its a matter of life perception and culture.
Wanting a better life has been the goal men worked for on all times. But sadly that martial culture has disappeared (which existed regardless of caste-creed-religion) at the cost of luxury or illusive peace.
All that hard work, all the earnings, assets, plans for life and family. One doesn't want it all be taken in one flash of violence and yet it happens. It is strange that people still haven't sorted it out despite this being such a fundamental issue. Subtly and gradually mentally conditioned to relegate freedom to others in the name of security?
Yeah I guess ... another kind of colonialism.
In trying to jot down my argument, few famous lines come to mind:
"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Regards,
Virendra
