Dont know what to do.....license application rejected once more .how come one grow as a shooter without a gun........am frustrated dont know till when ill shoot air guns.......the system sucks in india ........

did i read this right? you are applying for airgun licence? if so no need.

don't get disappointed. post ur first and second attempt for getting arms license in detail in legal eagle section , ask for help definetly seniors will help.
As far as shooting Air gun is consider stop doing that , shooting air gun is no crieteria for getting an arms license. Infact few of the air guns are more costly than Indian made double barrel and single barrel shot guns. Shooting Air guns has nothing to do with fire arms or license.

hi lakecity shooter it has always been very very hard to get a arm license in Rajasthan.you can file RTI on how much arm licenses were granted in last five years and you will find there will be only few. time when licenses were granted in bulk quantities was way back when state government announced who have illegal weapon can get license for those and make them legal and after that licenses were issued for every sort of weapon thats why we can see even a .315 bore katta(country made single shot pistol)endorsed on licenses though it is quite rare thanks

Don't be disappointed lakecity_shooter , i would suggest that you apply again & follow your file to every department where it goes that you can inquire about from the clerk or the peon of the concerned department, frankly speaking in India getting a gun license by merits or need is far more difficult than getting the license through someone who knows the people well in the concerned departments, anyways if you have participated in some state level competition or even district level then the participation certificate might come in as handy or if you have managed to earn a medal that would be splendid. One more thing i would like to add that if u want a gun license then rather apply for a rifle or 12 bore than a handgun because as for my understanding generally it gets difficult to get handgun license than a rifle or a 12 bore and you should apply for state level permit rather all India permit license because for state level permit the licensing authority would be the collector of your district and the file won't be needing the approval of the home ministry of your state govt. this is the way things work in my state unless the rules in your state is different, once you get a state level permit then atleast you can buy a weapon and then later apply your same license for all India permit validity which would be more easier to acquire then.

First thing in the morning go apply back for the license again coz if you really want a gun you cannot lose hope at any time. Best of luck!

thanks for the reply...........guys i wanna become a great marksman......for that i need a .22LR cause that is the only best gun as per the guns availibity ..........and guys i am not asking for a air rifle license i already have two.and i shoot them daily.........but now i wanna upgrade to a .22LR for that i need a license and those shitholes ask bribe for that

It appears you have applied two times and the application has been rejected both the times. I do not think it makes sense to blindly apply again the third time and expect some different results. Without jumping to conclusions, have you analyzed the problem and decided your strategy accordingly?

1) When you applied the first time, did you ensure the application was filled carefully and correctly?

2) When your application was rejected the first time, what was the reason given for rejection? Did you obtain the reason for rejection in writing?

3) After your application was rejected the first time, did you approach the appellate authority?

4) When you applied the second time, did you ensure the application was filled carefully and correctly?

5) When your application was rejected the second time, what was the reason given for rejection? Did you obtain the reason for rejection in writing?
