Arms Licence demanded for self Defense is valid reason

Gents,

Saw this in newspaper today that Allahabad high court has ruled that one cannot deny the arms licence on the basis of self defense as that has to be accounted as valid reason.

There are many similar judgments by many High Courts. Self defense and arms are fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India. Self defense without any kind of doubt is very much a valid reason. Even being without any "reason" is a valid reason, since arms are a fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution. The Constitution is standing on behalf of the citizens to provide reason(guarantee) on their behalf that arms are freedom under Article 19 and Right to Life and Liberty under Article 21. Thus this reason is bigger and constitutionally guaranteed reason than any other "reason" being sought in the arms license application.
