Indians For Guns

Out of four pages, I have completed two but there are some questions on rest of the two pages. Please have a look at the screen shots below. The answers written in red fonts is where I have questions about. I would really appreciate if you could spend a minute or two in going over other answers I have written and see if they should be as they. Also, tell me what documents I should submit, I am going to be sending in the copy of my passport, copy of my FOID card, firearm purchase receipt. Any other document you think I should send?

I don't know what to write on the following area.

Question 8 Part B (2 of 1974) for keeping the peace of for good behaviour. If so, when and for what period.

Question 12 The form in which the license is required.

Question 14 Part C Place/router of import/export or transport?

Question 15 Other Particulars required as in the relevant license form.

Question 16 Claims for special consideration.

friend from what you have written i think, you are travelling to india as a tourist.
if so for the question... part b,blank
for part c 12..pistol/revolver/rifle/....in yours it should be' pistol''.
14 c..by air.(flight)travelling by air i beleive.
15...leave it blank.
16.for personel safety,carrying valuables and so on.

Question 8b: If you have never been in India before then "Not Applicable". If you have been in India before and never been ordered to execute a bond under the said provision of the law then "No".

Question 12: If under Rule 17 of Arms Rules 1962 then "Form VIII". If we read Schedule III of Arms Rules 1962 at http://www.abhijeetsingh.com/arms/india ... e_III.html it says "Traveler's (temporary) licence for the possession and carrying of arms or ammunition for the duration of his journey from the place of his arrival in India to his place of destination in India". It would mean that once the traveler reaches his destination, he would need to apply and get another license on some other form, most likely on Form III.

If under Rule 32 of Arms Rules 1962 then "Form III". Rule 32 may apply if you satisfy Section 10(1)(b) of Arms Act 1959 for bringing in arms/ammunition without license.

If under Rule 44 of Arms Rules 1962 then "Form XXII".

If you do not satisfy Section 10(1)(b) of Arms Act 1959, then you also need a license under Section 10 of Arms Act 1959 to bring the arms and ammunition into or take out of India.
