Hi,

I have recently seen details about Blank Firing Guns on internet. They are mostly used in movies and serials and are fun to play with. They look real and feel real but can't be used for firing real bullets. More info. can be found on www.blankgunstore.com

I want to know if these are available in India ? please let me know the details of seller........

I have found that such Blank Firing Guns have been noticed by Indian Custom Detpartment ( under Chapter 93 ) but don't have much information. Do I need to have any licence or have to declare any porpose to import these ??

What can be problems in importing these goods to India ??

I am 100% sure that such guns have already arrived in India as they carry a Identification Coloured Ring at the Barrel End which is easily visible, I noticed the same gun in SONY TV Serial - CID.

Reply with details.

Regards,

Kanwal

Before you read any further please sit down.

Ready?

Well made blankfire handguns are commanding as much as Rs.35,000 to Rs.45,000 per piece and Rs.100 or more per blank cartridge.

If you are still keen, I can provide you with the contact information.

Mack The Knife

P.S.: The orange tipped cast metal ones can be imported, at least as baggage, without any problems. I know this because my wife brought back a couple for our sons to play with from Bangkok.

A blank firer hasn`t been vasectomised.......technically it is more by way of being castrated but there isn`t a direct comparison.

Like the moron who woke up after the 'requested for' castration surgery and said
" doc I just remembered the name of the surgery I wanted -its circumcision..."
Count me out...after hearing the rates, I dont want to be a blank firer...

What I know about blank firers: You load the cartridges, pull the trigger and they go `bang`. Nuff said.

Neither. A blank cartridge has no bullet - it is designed
to make a noise only. Starting pistols - as used to start races - are blank firers. Dedicated blank firing guns cannot be used to fire bullets as the barrels are obstructed and the metal used nowadays is deliberately of poor quality. `Friday night specials` made from blank firing pistols are more lethal to the shooter than anyone they might be pointed at.

Buddies !!!

Please spare some time to visit www.blankgunstore.com ( they have a nice video for there guns being tested ) and you can actually see there price is not that high. Actually they should cost you about USD 50 ~ 200 for a good model + the shipping cost and duty + taxs.

I am not sure why they are soo costly in India right now, any one interested in pooling up for placing a COMBO ORDER to supplier ???

I have also located a supplier OEM from Turkey for the same stuff.

Get me some legal info on the possible obstacles to import them to india.........

Also I am planning to order 0.177 Cal air guns very soon.

I think the problem will lie in with customs. You know its a blank firer, I know its a blank shooter but the customs guy may decide to be illiterate at the critical moment. There is a dude called audit in the customs wing, whose job is to go through all the paper work. He can also be the last pain between you and the blank firing glory.
