Addition of area in licence.
Is it possible to extend or add neighbouring state in arms licence. For example , If my licence is valied for Orissa ,is it possible to extend / add Bengal and Jharkhand in my licence ,if yes then whether DC/DM has this authority . Any notification or section in Arms act to support it. FEEDBACK is requested .James..

DC/DM dont have the authority to extend the validity of an arms license outside the concerned state.according to the new rules, area extention for up to three states can be done on the state level. DC/DM can only send their recommendation to the state home minstry and it up to the home secretary to grant or deny,but usually the home ministry grant the permission on the recommendation of DM/DC. take care.
