This reply reeks of utter ignorance and a colonial elitist mindset.
Good to hear that you'll continue to fight this. Getting a favorable judgement from higher up will have a bigger impact and value.
Please do let us know if you need any help from the fraternity.

This is sad and credulous but anything is possible in India especially when you stand up for your rights. Because those in power and authority dont like to be challenged. I had a close call in India on this trip and witnessed how power of authority is abused blatantly. For India to succeed they need to implement their rule of law in its true spirit and to the letter to avoid anarchy and chaos. What surprises me the most is that on one hand Indian officials complain and its a fact that they have too much work yet they have time to grind personal axes!! Inplainsight fight this one all I can do is encourage you. Good luck

Thanks for your support guys. I was told that someone on this forum had filed a writ in Delhi High Court against the LG's order, but is was converted into a suit by the court. Is that correct?

I should have my appeal drafted this week.

Hey guys,

So the first hearing was yesterday. I believe my appeal will be clubbed together with the 'regular' list of write petitions. I.e. There isn't urgency, according to the court, to dispose these matters.

I have to say, I was very impressed by the Hon'ble Justice Manmohan. He was extremely patient with each and every lawyer and spent quit some time understand the various cases.

Will keep everyone posted
