Hi Hardeep,
First off no members here gain anything by being political, so please dont get angry! Please understand that there is possibly something that is not being understood by the members trying to answer your questions. If the endorsement for 15000 cartridges is clearly mentioned as for.22 only and that too because of your status as renowned shot then the answer is pretty straightforward.

The part not easily understood is this: do you have specifically an endorsement for 15000 cartridge import of the .380 &.32 cartridges or are you possibly incorrectly surmising that the endorsement given above for your .22 cartridges(which may not be very clear or detailed) as mentioned above, is being misunderstood by you that it is applicable to all firearms in your license.

Therefore the more detail that you can give in your questions, the better the quality of the answers can be.
I do understand that you are getting irritated, but that will not get the desired answers. Please be patient
Anyway, while we may not have adequate paperwork to prove this, the generally accepted view is that for the import of 50 cartridges there is no import duty, and for any cartridges above that there will be duty assessed. This is for a person who is travelling on a short visit abroad who has a license and cartridge limit above 50.

For renowned shots generally the import permits/ endorsement on license should clearly reflect what the bore of cartridges is and how many are allowed at one time and per year. If this is not present in detail, then there will be scope for misunderstanding and possible breaking of laws. Members here have a Huge quantity of knowledge and has benefited all of us. Some times there is no simple answer for your question, a lot will depend on how much detail you put into the question. So again, please be patient!
Regards,
Anand

Dear Anand,

Thank you for your reply and understanding the situation. In my case the entry on my licence saying I am allowed to keep 15000 Cartridges per year as sports shooter. I understand very clearly that for renowned shooters import permit and endorsements are required on licence with clearly mentioning the bore in which the person is renowned shot.

I have clearified with few custom officers also but they dont have much knowledge about getting more cartridges than 50 cartridges for personal use. They told me I can import big quantity of cartridges with import permit in which I am renowned shot. They told me than normally people have limit of 50 cartridges on licence and nobody with more cartridges limit came from abroad with cartridges.

leave my case and lets take new example that somebody got a limit of 2000 cartridges per year and 1000 per time. If that person goes abroad and bring 1000 cartridges with him can he bring 1000 cartridges with paying custom duty. Some members told me that yes they can by paying duty on cartridges but you can understand I dont wana take risk if I dont have anything in written. I tried looking on internet for any notification and also emailed customs IGI airport but did not find anything.

As you said no member here gain anything by being political. You tell me honestly I simply asked for notification or any written for importing more than 50 cartridges in luggage on short visit and members here started asking me why I took part in Open sight competitions, some members said my statement is contradictory. If you read all the previous post properly you will find that I was always polite earlier but they asked me questions which were not related to import ammunition. Even if you go and check my another posts on this site I always give good advices to people. In one case about tomcat .32 pistol I shared some information so nobody gets cheated or gets in trouble and senior members are telling be that is all rubbish. There is always a way to convey things. If you go to Tomcat .32 post you can see how senior member were rude.
With Regards,
