It's so easy to fall to the easier temptation of depositing the firearm dr.jk. I could have fallen for it myself. My respects to you and gwattal for fighting this out.

pls refer to the allahabad high court order of april this year referred to in this thread earlier. A mans right to life gets questioned if he has to deposit weapons which he has for his safety. unless the person is liable to disrupt elections or the peace his weapons cant be taken away without due process of law

Gwattal,
i have represented all court orders everything from allahabad court,bombay court and the recent allahabad court order writ-Cno-20028(petitioner shilpa goel).
the order i got has instructed the election officer to consider various exemption by the election comissions notifications.court has given a week for the authorities to finalise.if not we have to appeal again.

Its the law abiding man that suffers. Why dont they go after the guns held by criminals.....

It stands on record that in a whopping 99 percent cases its the illegal arms that a involved in criminal activities. Licensed arms do not go beyond domestic violence and suicide cases. I still don't understand the logic behind surrendering the weapons during elections....

these officials are n..ts.we where called before the screening committee to give a statement as per court order.following is the order issued by DM after interviewing us.
i have decided to appeal before the High Court .
