Now you know what the jackasses at IOFB will predictably do...firstly they'll be wondering why they'd be running at a loss... Too hard to figure for bone heads like that... next step they'll 'punish' us (for what ever sub0-conscious reasons) and increase the cost of ever shot they peddle to the civilian market.... they'll be probably be proud of it, going by the way they 'brag' about extracting maximum profit from the civilian market.

This appears to be old trick of MHA to raise prices of ammunition to make ownership of Arms Ammunition costly. Import restriction is also done due this reason to raise prices of legal arms.Amit357 wrote:Hi CC ,IOF have already cut down production of NP Bore ammo, A/A Dealers who earlier used to get 100,000 Ctgs of 315/32/22 and 12 Bore yearly have been told that now they will get only 10,000 yearly.
Arms Rules 1962 Section 51(b) allows submission of license application by post. It states:darashp wrote:....and in la ludhiana they r not doing any additions on the license.
"Application for licence may be presented by the applicant in person or sent through the medium of post office or otherwise, to the licensing authority, as far as possible having jurisdiction in respect of the place where he ordinarily resides or has his occupation;"
In my opinion for whom Licensing Authorities are refusing to accept license application:
1) Fill up the application form for arms license(application form is attached with this post).
2) Fold the application form and staple it like an envelope/inland letter, address it to Licensing authority and send by Speed Post. (Please Note: Do not stuff the application form in envelope because I know various cases where the recipients denying in court about receiving anything inside envelope, saying that they only received empty envelope.)
3) Retain the Speed Post receipt and also get "Proof of Delivery" of letter from Post Office. Post office may charge around Rs 10-20 for giving "Proof of Delivery"
4) Then follow up the license application with RTI if needed after 1-2 months(RTI sample form is available at http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10826
The matter can be definitely brought before High or Supreme Court as it in nothing but violation of fundamental rights as well as the objectives of Arms Act itself. There are plenty of Constitutional and legal grounds on which the matter can be brought up before court. Constitutional bench has also got Justice Markande Katju now, he had given very good judgment about RKBA when he was at Allahabad High Court. First of all parliament will not approve unconstitutional law, even if it does, matter can be brought to court for violation of fundamental right of self defense and RKBA as guaranteed by Constitution. If anyone is interested in taking matter to court, I would request him to get in touch with NAGRI, I have mentioned the emails in the 1st post of this thread.psm wrote:Even not before Constitution Bench of Supreme Court of India??????

I am very surprised that why NAGRI (National Association for Gun Rights India) is not challanging the Circular issued in month of July , 2010 by MHA in Court of Law.
Secondly , when the Bill No.102 of 2010 has been circulated in Parliament for the amendment then why NAGRI is not arranging open discussion calling some leaders of opposition as well as ruling party on TV Channels. If it is discussed on TV, it will be very helpful to put views in general public that how Mr.Chidambaram is going to play with the life of general public of the country. It is the moment when it should be boldly opposed by print media as well as through TV Channels.
Hope positive response towards NAGRI as well as other associations who are fighting for the gun rights.

Probably NAGRI is waiting to see what comes out of the present Arms Act Amendment Bill 2010 that has been presented in Lok Sabha. Before moving court we should wait the outcome of Bill tabled in Lok Sabha. This is my personal opinion only. Please feel free to differ and express your opinions.jpc wrote:I am very surprised that why NAGRI (National Association for Gun Rights India) is not challanging the Circular issued in month of July , 2010 by MHA in Court of Law.
I agree with your idea about holding discussions on TV channels to expose the real game of MHA to legitimize the illegal order with help of simple looking Arms Amendment Bill. NAGRI derives its strength from people like us. If you know anybody in the media or political parties who are willing to be part in open discussions, please contact NAGRI.jpc wrote:Secondly , when the Bill No.102 of 2010 has been circulated in Parliament for the amendment then why NAGRI is not arranging open discussion calling some leaders of opposition as well as ruling party on TV Channels.
