Procedure to Convert the License to an All India One

Post by badcheetah » Wed Jun 10, 2009 12:08 am

Dear Friends,

I wanted to find out some information regarding the procedure as to how can one convert his arms license to an all India License.

Also please shed some light if it has to be done in the state from which you have been originally granted the license.
The License in this case is issued from Arunachal Pradesh .

Thanks

You will first buy your fire arm and have it registered in the state that has issued the lic.
Ideally you should apply for the All India there itself, else register the lic in the state presently residing and apply there.
In the case of states the authority is the Home Sec,in case of Delhi it is the Lt Gov/Home Sec Delhi Gov.
For Delhi visit http://www.delhipolice.nic.in/home/Lice ... lidity.pdf
These days they are pretty strict about increasing the area validity, and more importantly look at Licenses issued from a few states esp in the North East,J&K etc pretty closely.

Ok Sahil Procedure is as follows for a Licence made my DM
1. Get a recomendation Letter from DM in the name of FC Home giving the reason as for what you need a ALL India Licence
2. The get a recomendation of the same from Home Deptt to extend the validity area to ALL India.
3. The DM will endorse the same on the recomendation of Home Deptt coz he only can endorse it on ur Licence record and it is must .

If the Licence is issued from Home Deptt you just need to put an Application
