License for long range Air rifle

Post by Emery » Mon Dec 17, 2007 7:51 pm

Hi Guys,

I just came across a news from Kolkata, that Govt is making a rule for Long Range Air Rifle.
License for these guns will be compulsory, please let me know if this is real.

As these manufacturers in Kolkata have stopped manufacturing powerful Air rifles legally.

Thanks Bhushistar.

The manufacturers anyway didn't make very powerful airguns. So it seems strange that they have been spinning this yarn but anything is possible in our land.

So roughly the distance limit seems to be about 26 yards. Most mid powered air rifles will still manage to reach out and swat something pretty hard without being rated as high power.

The lowly hume pipe will do it all day( the views expressed in this sentence are Mack The Knife's ;-)).
