[/b][/b] Hi, my American friend is visiting India for two weeks in October. I always wanted to have an Airsoft, so I am thinking of buying it in the USA to his address and then he later brings it here with him (worth around 150$). But I have a few questions.
1)Have you or anyone you know have done it before?
2)What is the procedure of the entire process?
3)Does he have to declare it as firearm?
4)Can he carry it in normal luggage or will he need a gun case?
5)What will the questions asked by AAI after he lands? Will the cease it?
Thank you.

Re: Flying to India from the U.S
If the address on the credit card of the buyer does not match with the address of delivery within USA, in all probabilities the order will not be accepted. This rules apply to fire arms and parts, at least. I fore see resistance from Indian customs authorities as well when he tries to bring it in because soft air weapon looks no different from an actual fire arm in an x-ray machine. That too if he manages to clear US customs.
All the best to you but imho, not worth it.
