Immediately consult your local lawyer and then inform the police along with his/her help to avoid any trouble. Clearly, at least one of the guns is illegal here and possibility is that more/all four might be illegal. It's not easy to find a "probable" license without any number/year of registration etc. Instead of focusing on saving a gun under heirloom policy you should be focused on saving yourself.

Luckily, there can be no criminal proceedings/FIR against a deceased person, but it is your duty to hand over the illegal weapon to the police immediately forthwith its discovery. It is best to hand over all four to them and then let them find out which was illegal and which was licensed. After handing over, you can also continue your search for license in peace. Remember you can only claim it under heirloom policy if your father had a license and you locate it.

I say again, immediately go to a lawyer and then to the police.
Salutations to Him who protects the world by the might of His drawn bow, to Rudra the destroyer of all miseries; to the Lord of the fields and sacred places, salutations.
