Just wanted to enquire if there is any provision in Indian arms act to apply for Firearms licence in the name of Pvt ltd company ,held by chief security officer ect. James..

Not sure, about the acts. But YES, you can apply for arms in the name of your company, however Retainer name should also be named in the license. Retainer is a person who will use/hold the arms and oblige the law (e.g- renewal of arms license, purchase/sell ammo and arms, deposit etc).

Yes a company or firm can apply for arms license and its employ be made a retainer under the Arms Act 1959. For the purpose of law, a company or firm is also a "person" i.e. legal/juristic person.
