SHOOTING
On November 21, 2012 at approximately 3:00 a.m. Plano Police Officers were dispatched to a reported Burglary incident in the 1500 block of Rio Grande Drive.
Upon Officers arrival, it was reported by the resident that he had seen at least two black males on his patio prior to the glass patio door being smashed. The resident then advised that one suspect entered into the residence. As entry was made, one of the suspects was shot by the resident. The other suspect(s) fled the location on foot in an unknown direction of travel. At this time, additional details regarding the description or identity of the other suspect(s) are not known.
The suspect who had been shot was pronounced deceased at the scene and has been identified as Chinedu Onyeuku, a 29 year old resident of Omaha, Nebraska. Next of kin has been notified.
No injuries were reported by any of the residents at the location.
The Plano Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance for information related to this incident.
