law on convertion kit with guns???

Hi guys i have this doubt if i get a .38 super 1911 with a .22lr conversion kit do i need 2 npb pistol licenses or can i have it under one license. The .22lr conversion kit will contain the 1911 upper with .22lr mags...

No need of two licenses since it is only one pistol. On the same license both the bores will be mentioned for your pistol.

Hi vikram thanks for there reply...so if you have .38 super and .22lr in your license and the limit to ammo is 100 rounds does it include for both the bores or is it for each bore. will they specify each bore with there respective ammo limit??? thank you guys...

It depends how they write it. If they write 100 cartridges, that would mean total cartridges of both the bores should not exceed 100. If they write seperately like 100 for .38 super and 100 for .22lr, then it would be seperate.

Hi just a clarification guys... Whats the deal with combination double barrel guns eg (one shotgun bore and one rifle bore) and some shotguns and rifles with interchangeable barrels like mauser m3... Does anyone own such firearms in India and is it put under one license or two... I know its one firearms but just need to clarify this...Thank you...

AFAIK, The combination/spare barrels must have been bought as part of the OE . That is, you cannot buy the spare barrels at a later date from the initial purchase of the firearm. All must comprise the original sale.

One firearm means one license regardless of number of barrels or bores. If barrels are of different bores, all those bores will be mentioned on license. Not very sure if multiple barrels of same bore are required to be mentioned on license. Please check Arms Act and its Rules for this.

Hello guys just a another question... Does any one have 3 different calibers on one gun... Like will the license authority enter one gun with three different calibers because i was looking at 7.62 tokarev conversion kit for a 1911 and will work on .38 super 1911 this with a standard .22lr conversion kit will make it .38 super, 7.62 tokarev and .22lr. I am guessing last two caliber ammo is available in India... Is this a possibility. Thank you...
