Hello all,
Just came across this article on indianshooting.com. According to the new DGFT notification import of air weapons is also only permissible to renowned shooters. The article says that it might be an oversight on the DGFT's part, but god knows how the customs people will interpret this notification to implement new hindrances.

Just thought it'd be beneficial to anyone planning to import air weapons. Please keep us updated if anyone has imported air weapons after this notification came into existence.
Regards.
