The noc should mention the make/model/manufacturer of the gun, and should also mention that the gun thats imported doesnt require a licence, and couldnt be converted to a real firearm. End up spending 5k for the noc, and then import any toy gun that you wish to.

Nagarifle, there is no documentation as such. Its all in the Chapter 93. For example, 9304 10 00- Import of muzzle loading firearms. (blank guns)

Just giving an example, I am not a blank guns fan.

In the chapter 93 notification, it states that its FREE to import blank firing guns, signal flare pistols...but where my personal import experience is concerned, let be any gun, especially in case of replicas, blank firers and airsoft (air gun import rules are different)- the examiner, and the assistant commissioner of customs, they both asked for a police noc. Its not mentioned in any rule book, but its mandatory. Try importing one, and once it gets detained, you'll be asked to present to them with the doc.

Thanks,
N

Rajiv,

You dont need any licence or permit for airsoft toys. Its just that they are exact replicas of the real firearms. Someone can scare a shit out of anyone if flashed. Bcuz they look realistic. When I ordered my air pistol, the examiner looked at it and she said, "Is it real?" LOL

Not her fault because they look real, they are licenced realicas with Colt and Beretta logos on them. They all work on paperwork, bro. Give them the noc, and believe me they will clear your gun without any hassle. They are not bad people. So, if you're ready to spend around 3 to 4k on noc, order a real nice pistol or rifle, like m14 or something.

Cheers,
N.

Then dear Poor Indians (including me), U got only two choices.
One, Leave this damn country, settle at US, buy Airsoft or even real Arms and Enjoy. OR, Forget about guns at all,
As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Dear Rajiv,

Everything that I have posted in this thread, is my personal experience- right from my 1st day at RTI cell, till the time I got my gun delivered. Its an air pistol, and not an airsoft gun. I wish to collect a few though, but the import procedure would be different. I haven;t ordered a toy yet- so I am not sure about the NOC thing. But you need it in case of a blank firer import.

Cheers,
N.

Nice info!!

as you said, Airsoft guns will be inspected first and then released, and will need NOCs.

Any idea where to get them(NOC) made? :?:

I'm ready to spend anything for the NOC if it'll make the import a breeze! :)
