Buying Scopes from Ebay

Hi friends..

I have ordered a rifle scope from Ebay USA (They ship it to India). Is it legal to do so, because one of my friends here said I could land in trouble (he said I would be labelled a Terrorist!).

Please guys, I need your thoughts on this.

go right ahead! Scopes do not come under the purview of the arms act and usually attract customs duty at par with other optical devises.

In UK there is a rule not to take scope above 4x out of there country with out export license. :x

For US

http://www.bis.doc.gov/licensing/index.htm (shipping scopes to india require EAS...which is used to track where the scopes are going to, and to whom. :x



Got this issue when some one was trying to bring one. BEWARE

if you are lucky you can get one.
Sometimes if you want to get rid of the gun, you have to pick the gun up.

There are few scopes listed in dealextreme website, with free shipping worldwide. They ship from hong kong , but not sure about the quality.
