ha ha has me in rolls ROTFL , good one prashantsingh.

I wonder if MG and family have any weapons for protection?. Maybe if we know this fact might help in building up the case.

Want to know about how responsible a gun owner she herself is? See this old thread from IFG's yahoo group days:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/indians4guns/message/1634

It refers to a news article from The Hindu - http://www.hindu.com/2006/02/11/stories ... 680300.htm
Maneka Gandhi's revolver, pistol stolen

NEW DELHI: A revolver and a pistol belonging to former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi were allegedly stolen last month.

According to a complaint lodged by her on January 18, the firearms went missing while she was shifting her residence from Maharani Bagh to Ashoka Road.

The police have registered a case and are trying to recover the weapons.

from another thread here she does own a rifle, checked her assets declared in an affidavit for one of the her peviouselections ( couldnt find them in affidavit for the latest elections)..again its sense of entitlement mentality between haves and haves nots..

"
by the way - the first step of these organizations was to come in open e.g. parades, meetings etc -- so using the analogy Indian gun owners also need to come out in the open for the sake of guns in their 'closets' and many famous personalities own gun even the ardent anti Honorable Mrs Maneka Gandhi owns a rifle per her affidavit with Election commission

Okay so she has a rifle, had / has two handguns and here son has three weapons. How can we use this to quash her / PFA attempt to ban airguns ?

The judgement mentions they are not against airguns for target shooting. But they want the power limit set at 1J which is ridiculous.

What options are open to us ?

This article really suggests the lady knows nothing about responsible parenting.

Please note how she has build up a case in the above article.....and this one below.....

PFA also have a forum. How about letting them know our side of the coin ?

Maneka has gone on record criticizing Jim Corbett and getting away with it.... Maybe the good Colonel (Corbett) could have used her as bait for the Rudraprayag Leopard??

Whatever one says about the hunting propensities of the early Englishmen and Maharajas, the fact remains that Sansar Chand, Veerappan, and their ilk, who have totally denuded our forests, have a) killed many more animals than all the Brits and Maharajas put together, b) have killed them more brutally (poison, bombs, traps, etc.), and c) have never used a licensed gun to kill animals. So, it is highly unlikely that a guy with a air gun (like me and many others) will kill a pigeon or a rabbit for fun, but the people with catapults, poisons, barbed wires, etc. will surely do so.
Cheers!
