They check whether you're driving without an engine. Doing so is considered illegal as per sub section Blah of the section Blah Blah of the Blah Blah Blahity Blah Act of 0000 .

hi guys,
Being a mall 'n' Multiplex developer & owner, I can only say, no one is allowed entry with anykind of firearm, even shop owners / tanents....If some one has to come on regular basis, he/she has to take local police permission in writting....
More over in Gurgaon, police authorities are doing secret drills, and if any mall is found with fire arms / explosive entring mall, the mall owner can face strict action ...like panelty / cancellation of commercial license...etc
these are the new instruction's issues in delhi/haryana/punjab...(dont know abt other places...as not dealing there...)

All are right, but this is also true, they are doing it, and we as developer & owners are facing....BTW (here comes the corruption)

Gentlemen, I thank you for your kind responses.
There were many considerations, I had to make sure that I did not cause an "alarming" situation . I had to reassure them that I was in fact carrying legitimately, I did not want to think that I was threatening them in any way. But I was also not going to keep quite while my rights(privileges?? ) were being violated. But I did not want to give any negative impressions of Arms licensees either.

But this whole "security" situation is really a serious one, because even if there were metal detectors or any number of "under car checking mirrors" at the Taj, Mumbai , I don't think they would have helped in preventing 26/11. So what exactly are all these so called "security measures" for? As some of the members mentioned an explosive need not necessarily be hidden only under the car or in the boot (where the checking usually occurs).
Also I don't believe Kasab or his friends would have, taken the time to pull out their "licenses and explain the situation" to the security people!
In my opinion, all These are merely "soft " measures to make it appear that something is being done and actually may give a false sense of security!

It may sound unusual, but I am more calm and it is harder for me to lose my composure or temper when I am carrying.
