Help Needed-GunMark 250 Air-rifle
Dear Seniors and Fellow member,
After being away from the forum for quite some while I have been driven back into shooting sports with encouragement from my Father and Mr.Kaushal of Etah rifle club. I have been practicing with 0.22 cal air rifle since last few years. I hav some low quality rifles at my home. I bought a DAW's air rifle some time ago and dint like the stiff trigger and also the design of the grip. Since my fingers r little short I cant hold the grip very tightly while firing. Also the sometimes trigger becomes very hard as its blocked by something.
Since I have moved from my home to Allahabad, I want to get an air rifle at my place to train myself. I am planning to take part in the shooting competition held in U.P with the same air rifle.
I visited Gunmark shop in Pune last December and I liked there .22 air rifle. But it sounded to costly at Rs15000. So I dint try it. Now I am thinking of getting a 0.177 cal air rifle from them. They mailed me the quotation for Gunmark 250 0.177 cal. It will cost Rs 11000 at my doorsteps.
I request seniors and frds to suugest me to invest in the right place. I worry the greatest about the smoothness of the trigger. thanks
best regards
AADI

Buy an IHP Moel 25 in .177 for your competitions. The G250 gives you no advantage over the IHP25 to justifly paying 11000/- more for it. And if you have 15000/- to spend on an air rifle to shoot in competitions, get an IHP Pneumatic Match gun in .177 for around 18000/-.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Re: Help Needed-GunMark 250 Air-rifle
Thanka "fantumfan2003" Sir,
Your sure got a point. The price is too high. Their justification is that they us original Diana airrifle parts like the barrel, spring washer. They are also the authorised dealer for Diana Spares in INDIA. Would that make any chnage in your advice?
I was looking for IHP in Allahabad, I think local shop hav duplicate IHP b'cos the marking on the cylinder is not very clear and even they r not in 0.177 cal but 0.22 cal.
ADVISE NEEDED
I m thinking of ordering from
1. Aimco Kolkata ==> IHP national model 35 in 4.5mm ideal for practice in rifle club. freight extra buyer pays Rs. 3600/-.
2. Gunmark were saying that they sell brand new original National for Rs 4000 + postage.
3. Lucknow Shop gave me a price of Rs 5600 some 1.5 yr back for IHP, b'cos they r monopolize authorized dealer.
I think I should leave Gunmark for now, better go for a low cost effective solution and save money
thanks for your help
