Help - Umarex S&W .177 Dissemble

Friends,
I have a problem with my Umarex S&W 686, 6" Barrel, .177 Cal, 12g Co2 Capsule Powered Revolver, Replica of S&W 357, 10-shot capacity rotary magazine, 2-stage trigger action.
The weapon is jammed - when the trigger is depressed gently and the hammer drawn back with the thumb - the hammer should get cocked in the first step of double action mode. This action seems to have jammed and no amount of pressure on the trigger moves the action. In short the revolver does not fire at all.
I have checked the various common problem areas - removing the cylindrical magazine and examining for any stuck pellets in odd places, but I am completely stumped.
I was wondering if any of the members have experience in dissembling such a weapon. Any pointers would be helpful, as I am planning to open it up - hoping that I dont have springs and parts flying all over, the moment I unscrew the first fastener!
Look forward to comments and suggestions. Many thanks
