Hi
I understand the difference between PCP, Single stroke pneumatic and Multi stroke pneumatic.
Now in theory a PCP sounds much better than Single stroke and multiple stroke, reason being I charge it once and can use it for a number of shots before refilling the air reservoir.
But in a country like India is it worth the hassle?
It is my understanding that a single stroke pneumatic will have same accuracy as PCP, except that I will get tired using single stroke faster than a PCP.
Other than being pre charged and having hence less effort in usage and hence less fatigue what other advantage is one getting by using a PCP?
Thanks
Regards
Gaurav

Re: PCP vs Single Stroke pneumatic vs Multi Stroke pneumatic
IMHO....
A PCP lets you shoot a magazine full of pellets. A Multi stroke might, a single stroke would not. So if you are hunting, a multi shot PCP makes sense. I am talking about legalised hunting of pests. I still regret the rat that got away since I had a single shot gun.
If you shoot targets, you would prefer to shoot single pellets and reload, like competitions. A single stroke cancels the advantage of a PCP here.
However, a single stroke can be heavier (though not necessarily so), the cocking effort tiresome and distracting........in competitions where others are shooting with PCPs.
That said, single strokes, are still capable of `gold medals if the shooter is good.
