Info on Tommy Air Rifle

I Have a handed down Tommy air rifle in .177 cal... in my collection.Its a short neat light starter type kiddie rifle.... Any info on its history or origins

A lot of us grew up with this popular make. My first air rifle was one in 177, followed by an air pistol also in 177 and later a 22. All were tommies. This was in the mid and late seventies. These were manufactured in Kolkatta and are most probably still in production. Quality and fit and finish not too bad for an Indian make!
