Customisation of New IHP .22

Hi,
I am trying to figureout how to get a good air rifle from UK/USA but in the mean time I have purchased an IHP MOD N25B CAL 5.5/.22 air rifle in Mumbai. I saw a lot of other Indian brands too in a couple of shops in Mumbai but realy liked this. Its quite similar to a particular model of Diana but not sure which one!
After purchasing it have fired few times, but had an urge to customise the rifle the way it looks, adopting the best points from few international brands.
Planning to mount a scope, change the front sight, attach a pure leather sling and change the finish and shade of the wooden stock along with few hand carvings on it.
I think it will be more than enough work for me for a month. I will try and do all on my own apart from welding the rail for the scope.
Will post few pictures soon my work in progress for the people who will be interested in my project.
Thanks

Hi All,
Really happy
to see so many users have shown interest in my post. As I am going ahead with the customization project of my IHP .22 rifle, I had a thought to take inspiration from few of the great air rifle brand in the world. At present I will be taking best features from a couple of imported rifle brands and their respective models.
I am one of those rifle enthusiasts who is not a member of any district/state/national rifle association hence, do not have the privilege to order one from outside the country. Looking at the price in India for the imported brands which will cost anywhere between 1000 INR to 30000 INR I understand its business and business only
. As its very difficult for me to spare that kind of money to buy one imported rifle I will satisfy myself with my customization of IHP till the time I can figure out how to get my rifle from UK/USA.
I am posting few pictures of the rifles that I am going to take inspiration from (Precisely I will copy from)

For posting pics there is nothing easier than
www.woopics.com first resize your pics, go into woo pics and they will teach you how. In fact you can also download resizing software free from the net.

Hi All,
As I promised earlier I will keep on posting pictures as I progress in my current project of customising IHP rifle.
You all know how the original IHP rifle wood stock looks....
In the first stage I am posting pictures of the wood stock after I sanded it down to my desired cuts and finish.... (Yet to be given final touches)

Oye just coz you learned to post pics doesn't mean you have to go bananas on it!
Nice work on the stock, I'm sure you'll do a good job on the rest of your rifle, by the way tirtha is the resident ace of doing up the IHP 35. Check out what he has done, might just shorten the learning curve.
Regards,
Dev

Hi,
This is the scope I got yesterday. Its with 20 mm rail mounts. I have ordered a pair of 10 mm rail mounts. Once they arrive my scope can be mounted. Its very frustrating to wait.

Just Great!!!
From where did you get the scope?
Which make is it and for how much did you pay for it??
Just to join you in your creative efforts, I have just fabricated a laser sight, whicg fits snugly on the barrel of my National 35, 0.22 Cal. This is only for night shots. Amount spent: Rs. 400/-
I will post the pictures, if you like
