Dear IFGians,
I had a Tommy 35 which was bought some 15 or more years back at Rs 550/- form company shop. With the passage of time it was forgotten.Days back when I became member here,my dormant desire got a huge boost. While restarting the hobby, the gun was spraying arround 10" of the centre, simlpy unpredictable.Tirths suggested and I did tuning with out the changing the old spring(done 1500 shots approx). The gun became awesome smooth and powerful by 4-5 yeards/sec.It was still spraying at 5",frustrated ,received suggestion from rottlord to take it to some gundealer.whosoever I contacted ,said that company got closed and I should go for new one.Contacted Subrata Das,the prop of Tommy brand ,surprisingly he also suggested to go for new one.Got information about Appu brand air gun mamufacturer,Mr Lokenath Dutta,he inspected and challenged that his barrel,if installed, will only hit centre,as the original barrel had congenital disease of having bigger bore.Rs 500/- was paid including foresight and the gun further gained at least 1yard/sec.
Barrel type- solid not seamless pipe, highly polished and naked eye could not trace any thing other than clear rifling.
Today I did the grouping under rain and gloomy light conditon.I use bi-focal specs.
Used pellet-1st-United Shots pointed single head-2nd NE pellet round head as suggested by Tirths.they are the cheapest of the lot.2nd phase grouping was done after windage adjustment.Heap of newspapers was taken for support.Distance was 15 mtrs.Target size was Rs 2/- coin mfg in 2009
I am attaching the performance for your consideration and suggestion as to how to improve accuracy,if at all possible.
Lastly please suggest me the new name.

At 15mts the grouping is quite good. The gun is very accurate. I dont get so close groupings with my IHP 35 .177 cal at 10mts. But i dont use anything for support.

Dear Mr. Basu, Try using a good quality imported pellet, the result can be much better. Inherently all Indian breakbarrel has a problem: when you load the pellet inside the barrel and 'click' the barrel back to the shooting positing the rear end of the pellet tends to get damaged or disfigured ar atleast slightly dented. This I feel greatly affects the accuracy..........Am I right guys????????
