Hi... Any idea about "POWER" air rifles?
Hi friends....
I went to a dealer in madurai for buying an air rifle. They showed me an Air rifle having brand name as "POWER". I have not heard anything regarding this company. It comes with a scope and it costs Rs.7100.
Any idea about this.....

I have no idea about POWER air rifles. But i guess i know the dealer you are talking about. Last year i was in madurai for about 4 months. Had been to a optics shop near Periyaar Bus Stand. He had few air rifles. But it wasnt any good. the barell was rusty and the rates were quite high.

Why dont you buy the IHP air rifle for now. I got them few weeks back. I am quite happy with it. I have uploaded some pics in one of my thread. Later once you get better at shooting get an better rifle.
I got it from aimco. Took about 5 days to arrive. It cost me Rs.3575 + 650 for shipping to Bangalore.

I know that it's your choice and more importantly your money. However, as Swordfish says, buy a better made air rifle and enjoy it for long. If in case you cannot afford an expensive one, save a while and go for a good used one. That way, you will own a decent AR and shoot well too. Do not buy something simply because a dealer says so.All the best.

Re: Hi... Any idea about "POWER" air rifles?
there are hundred of local makes who manufactures air rifle in .22 caliber, and you never find any information on internet about them like SDB, ESA, AGNI, TOMMY , EAGLE, DELTA, MASTERSHOT etc and even DIANA (Obviously not the German Diana but a Kolkata make one and the LOGO is different), Long back One dealer in Kolkata asked 10K for this local Diana to one of my friend, as a result of asking for Diana air rifle, That time I was with him and acting as a dumb. Once he claimed its is a famous phoren diana rifle, I opened my mouth and started taking his class. The rest was history. but always beware from this type of dealer and never rely on what they claim as best with a awfully high price.
They Local makes often lack of quality material, finishing, and accuracy. The best brand among all indian air rifle is IHP or known as National Air rifle. As suggested by others your best bet will be an IHP and you can buy it from Aimco who is a deale of IHP and also a member here in IFG.
Hope this helps and all the best
