Daisy Guns (In Kuwait)

Hi Guys...
I was at the 'True Value' shop yesterday and happened to find the Daisy air rifles and pistols. I was aware of this brand from USA. They are also the trade mark owners of 'Winchester', which gained their reputation through western cowboy movies. Ask Clint East Wood, he might give you an elaborate speech on them.

But But !!!! Guys what I saw there was disgusting!!I never expected such poor quality stuff from a US company. All their models looked and felt like toys. Poor built quality. The 'decent' looking rifles were literally rattling. Cheap quality synthetic stock and the finish was no way comparable with BSA or Diana. They did show cased some BB pistols and rifles as well, but all of them reminded me of festival special road side bazzar back in my home town. It did feel like cheap chinese replicas.

They say 'Take Pride Its a Daisy' which is a fantastic motto that is good enough to win some marketing campaign, but seldom make the point. Keep in mind that it is not cheap either.

Does any body contradict??????

Daisy generally produces low end air guns. Their youth line featuring the famous "Red Ryder" lever action BB gun starts out at about $40. I say famous because that is what a lot of American kids were given as their first gun. Remember, these are basically toys. They're BB guns, not pellet guns. They have been around for a long time. Their quality has dropped off over the years but most of their air guns are under $100. Their Powerline line is a little better but they are still basically toys, You cannot compare them with a Diana or Feinwerkbau. Their Avanti line is a little more serious and is intended for moderately serious shooters. They feature Lothar Walther barrels among other things.
I don't think they own the Winchester brand name. I think they just partnered with Winchester for some items.

You can check out their product line here:
