There are couple of shops on Champs-Elysees
But Arms regulation is very strong there. You got to buy a case and lock. Moreover you cannot carry the gun inside the case in public place Top of that the power of the gun shouldn't be more that 7 joule.

I do not know of any gun shops on Champs Elysee, however there is the Beretta show room just off it.
There is a shop in the square opposite Gare L'Est, and one near Gare Du Nord. There is FMR in Pantin, but I dont quite think they sell air guns.
I beleive there is a Kettner outlet as well somewhere in there.
Airguns under 10 joules are easy to buy, and no you do not need a locked case. You dont even need a locked case for most weapons.
The French gun laws are infact one of the most liberal in Europe, and in some ways even easier than the Swiss and Luxemberg laws. And far more relaxed than those in the UK.
When are you going to be in Paris?
Also your best bet would be to look in the yellow pages...

Thanks MoA..had my heart in my mouth when I read about the dreaded FAC rule & it's possible implementation in Paris. So I do stand a fair chance of laying my hand on a reasonably powered rifle...provided I am able to locate a shop in Paris.
Will look up the yellow pages & chart out the dealers...thanks!
Cheers!

He is talking about buying an Air Rifle in Paris.
MOA,
Is there a chance for him to buy an air rifle over the power limit as he is buying it for use without France and as such the AR is for export? Thank you.
Best-
Vikram

Re: Air gun from Paris..any clue?
Vikram, over 10 joules might be an issue.
1. There are very few shops that stock weapons over 10 joules.
2. You would need to be a member of a shooting club. And have french residency.
You could speak to the gun shop owner, and if it is for export... there might be a way around it.
A lot of the air guns sold are for competition, and dont really need any more than that. Especially since you are not allowed to hunt with air guns in France.
But if you do meet the two criteria above, you can pretty much buy anything you want other than hand guns and semi-auto weapons or auto weapons.
There is marginally more paperwork for the first two, and some hoop jumping for the auto's where the approval can take a year or more.
Also please make sure you inform the airline et al... well in advance that you will be bringing back an air gun, in advance. It might raise questions at the airport, and the last thing on earth you want is a run in with the Gendamarie or Douanne.
For transport specificallya ask about the type of case et al you will require.
Obey the law and the gun laws are very friendly.
Feel free to PM me, I know the area fairly well.
