Hi friends, This is my first post in our IFG Forums. I was a lover of guns.... But What i had now is only those plastic air guns(nearly 10)... Since My parents not allowed to buy a real air rifle, I don't own one. Now I started earning on my own and hope to fulfill my long time wish. I wish to buy an airrifle. I went through various posts in the Forum. And decided to buy an IHP 35 calibre .177/4.5mm.
Please can anybody tell me the procedures to buy the gun. regarding license, where to buy it, which company's pellets to be bought for it, and any thing else. I don't know anything regarding this.
PLEASE HELP ME>>>>>

Hi palani,
Welcome to IFG. Please post an introduction in the Introductions section.
You do not require a license for an air rifle. No procedure as well. Have the money, go to the shop, buy it, ask them about the nicest pellets you can afford, take it home discreetly, find a safe place to shoot and enjoy!
regards,
cc

Your situation is just like mine. Even i had those plastic BB guns. Even now my parents think i am crazy to buy an air rifle. I think its quite good to start off with the IHP 35 .177 cal. Usually the shops here overcharge for these rifles. Get it from aimco.co.in. Just order it online and it will be in you doorstep. No more procedures. Mail him first or call him.
Go for the Master Shot export quality flathead pellets. Its quite reasonable.

you will need to arrange someone to weld a rail to the ihp , and then fix the chosen scope.
i would suggest you avoid this. unless you have a good workman, there is always a chance of spoiling the rifle.
i note you are about to start shooting formally, i can suggest that for now, you start practising with the iron sights on the airgun. once you have spent some time doing that, and have passed the basic hurdles , it would be time to invest in a better airgun with facilities to mount a scope.
trust me, almost everyone here on IFG, graduated to expensive scoped air rifles AFTER spending years shooting iron sights on indian made air guns.
