Phorgun Airguns

Post by Prabhath » Sun Jul 12, 2009 5:01 pm

Members,

Anyone been able to lay their hands on a Phorgun airgun yet? The owner Basu said that he would be willing to ship orders of 6 and above only. A couple of members must have got their airguns a month back but no news from them yet.

A Product catalog or a price list would be helpful ...

cheers!

Update : I called up Tamilnadu armoury and they seem to be quoting 5k plus for .22 cal. He says that the rifle uses a ball bearing trigger and is very good compared to IHP.

Cheers!

There should be a post somewhere earlier. Fantumfan has indicated the prices of the different airguns available with Phorgun.

No pics of guns but here are scans of the brochure the gentleman sent me. Air rifles are priced from 5000 upwards.

Barun was very nice to talk to. Unfortunately I have not gotten around to buying one.

Cherian had ordered a match gun from him so do check with him for first hand info.

In my opinion, the clutch ball bearing trigger alone should give sleepless nights to all other Indian air gun manufacturers.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

I Checked the phorgun dealers list, as per the List Aimco and bhanduk bhandar are their dealers , they are also members of this forum so you can check with them about the cost and performance.

Dear Friends

The Phorgun airguns have nothing new in them. All those dealers who bought it for resale are unable to clear the stocks, due to its poor quality and abnormally high rates.

The air guns are the same as made by other Kolkata based makers.

My firm was lucky not to have bought these air guns, since I was timely advised by other friend dealers.

Cheers
