Real action Marker (RAM) paintball markers

Hello All,

A HongKong based distributor is willing to ship Real action marker (RAM) paintball products to India.
The website for this distributor is : www.apsram.com

They are one of the few manufacturers of RAM products worldwide and they have Umarex/Walther as
their distributors in Europe and US. Their RAM products are excellent replica type paintball markers
with magazine type paintball loading, actual weight and feel of real weapons, and their replica
rifle markers even have shell-ejecting capabilities. These markers typically use 12g Co2 external cylinders
as used by Co2 airguns. These are much more real-action type paintball markers compared to paintball
markers being used in paintball grounds in India ( more exciting to use for woodball type paintball games
or real-action type skirmishes ).

These paintball markers are classified as Toys, and the distributor is willing to provide a company stamped
certificate verifying that the product is a "Toy" for customs purpose ( this is the maximum assistance they
can provide in case the stuff is seized by customs ). Also, the HS code for these products is 95030090,
which is described as "Other Toys".

I have bought a couple of RAM paintball markers from them, and if anybody needs additional details,
please PM me.

Thanks,
Ashish

How do you like them? I've played a lot of paintball, mostly mil-sim, woodball. Used some tippmans, armotechs, mostly co2 powered blowbacks. I used some RAM stuff a few years back- at that point it looked great and felt great, but the smaller paintballs (.43 cal I think) couldn't really be sourced too well for weekend games. Standard paint cals are .68. Plus the "casings" also jammed horribly.

Hello,

I like them for the real weapon type feel and weight, and also you don't need to run around with
attached cylinder and paintball loaders. They are probably more suitable for mil-sim kind of games.
I believe that the Indian army is also using these RAM stuff for their training purposes.

Yes they use .43 cal paintballs and they do have problems/issues such as case/shell jams and even
gas-leaks.

If you look at apsram.com site, they now have .43 cal Powderballs which are different than Paintballs.
They are more durable and also cause a realistic kind of cloud/mist when they hit the target.
More information on Powderballs :

Other paintball companies such as real-action paintball (with RAP4 paintball product line, website : www.rap4.com )
manufacture RAM paintball markers and even Kingman training has introduced a RAM type .43 cal marker :
More details at : www.kingmantraining.com/

Another manufacturer called Battle Tested (BT) develops markers and other paintball gear specially for
woodball type scenarios/games. They have RAM lookalikes, like their BT-4 Delta product.
Additional details at : http://www.btpaintball.com/

Thanks,
Ashish

Best of luck for Your New quest :)

Your memory serves you well Sankar :) The gent in question was starting a paintball park and had his consignment impounded... it was then that he signed on here to figure out how best to get them released... IIRC his consignment was eventually released... I believe the thread is under the Legal Eagle section.

Cheers!
Abhijeet
