BEST multishot Air rifle!

I want to buy the following:

Air rifle:
0.177 cal
spring powered or pneumatic i.e. pumping type(I dont want CO2 or precharged)
must have ability to shoot multiple shots
effective range atleast 50mtrs
No scope required.

What do you guys suggest.

Note: 1 Tin Can Bashing sunday has taught me that reloading after every target can waste a lot of time as well as pellets ( i dropped 3 pellets)
2. I like springers
3. I dont like the fact that I am dependent of CO2 or precharged power which can run out as I am enjoying a shooting session. Also availability and cost also play an imp role.

A sweet shooting multishot springer (from all online accounts) is the IZH 61. It comes with a 5 shot magazine and is priced ~ US$ 100 or so... it's deadly accurate, especially for the price point but it is basically a 10m plinker... doubt if it will be able shoot beyond 25m...

Cheers!

diskaon,

if the tin can bashing was a step towards FT/HFT, then i'm sure you are aware that HFT/FT only permits single shot air rifles.

i do remember seeing a diana variant with BAR with a magazine. they've removed it. but i'll keep my eyes open, promise

Ooh... someone's getting competitive now.

Don't buy a multi-shot 'springer'. Even if you do, you wont be allowed to run with the mag in the rifle and it will have to be single loaded. :P

What is your budget?

P.S.: Take a look at the 'Events' forum. We are having another bash on the 18th of this month. Try and make it.

I am not becoming pro..

Multishot is not for going to some competition, but just that I am a bit lazy and also hate losing pellets to mother earth.

I am in the process of developing a "pellet dispenser" after seeing the smooth ejection of sugar free tablets from the case. I tried with 0.177 pellets, but they were bigger than the sugar free tablets... so some improvisation is required there. For now its WIP. ( I am sure there will be some ready made products offering just what I want, but I am not the type who will pay for someone else to take the pleasure of R&D)

Budget is not yet defined.. this is my initial search. (It wont be very high)

I may not be able to make it on 18th. Will get some clarity on 15th (big meeting in office) :-(

P.S.: Just when I thought I could out run the nawab of frazer town... he makes new rules.

BTW abhijeet .. the IZH 61 almost fits the bill. Now to see how I can get one before 18th !!!!!

Just kidding, will do some more research and R&D.

In single shots I kind of liked the overall package that the Crossman 1000X provides. any review on that one?

AFAIK the crosman is a Chinese made gun and not one of the better ones either. You can certainly do better...

The IZH 61 makes a good deal.. at the same price as an IHP :) :)
Pyramid air gives this with an extra main spring and cleaning rod!

I think I should go for this one.. the online reviews are really good.

However, since Sir Mack the knife will not let me use multishot and from one of the reviews i learned this can't be used as a single shot, i also looked up the IZH 60 of which this is a multishot version. (Correct me if I am wrong on both counts)

Now I will read all the how to import airgun threads and decide how to go about it.

The 5-shot magazine on the '61 is removeable. You wont save much time, if any, because you will need to reload after the fifith shot. For safety reasons, you can only cock the rifle after reaching your shooting point.

AFAIK the IZH-60 is no longer available in the US or UK markets, which is a shame really as I would personally rate it higher than the multi shot version.

Hmmm this rifle fits the bill perfectly to fulfill my promise of buying myself one rifle per year :D

Any idea how much FP/LBS it shoots?

http://thedisease.net/functions.php?PHP ... IZH-61.pdf

this is more like a "safety manual for all airguns" than the instruction manual for the IZH61??? Hardly any info on the gun!!!
