Hello IFGians presenting to you my IZZY.I spent about 2 months making the custom grips.The ones shown are my second attempt at grip making,I have yet to do some finishing.Please share your views.

If you are comfortable with the grip you design to suit your palm, nothing like it.

Nice grip Chattron Always nice to see guys who stand on their own feet

BTW< what wood is that? Hope its not something thats very absorbent. Also, I guess the angle of the new grip is a little more than the original one. Usually guys just consider the company provided angle the best. But if you gone ahead and decided you need more angle, then hats off to you, just for considering that

The grip rest seems to be touching the cocking lever. Am not sure if you are allowed that in comps; but what the heck.. good work is good work.

You may have to check with the ISSU guidelines for allowed sizes of overall length, width of grip rest, etc...

Also noticed a little extra clearing where the thumb meets the fore finger. If this is fine for you.. great

Overall, its a great job, and as Samsher says "a gun is an extension of your hand". My only suggestion is that you dont keep this nice work smooth as marble. Rough it up a bit (whatever fancy word it may be), and make it a better grip

Congrats on a job well done. The grip looks great, just that it needs to be finished up. Some nice polishing with a dark tan on the grip should make the 46 look really great.

Know what, my wife's grand father a former ruler of a state, who had a great collection of fine arms,
preffered guava (Aamrood) wood over the walnut for the stock. dont know why, personel preference maybe.

Yes, I guess mountain guava wood is also used in making stocks...

I have increased angle on this grip compared to original and due to this total length of gun went beyond 420mm,so i had to modify grip once more.There is still some more work to be done.

The wood is something like pine which is softwood.I chose this as i had terrible time with the hard wood grip i made before,also the feel of this wood is better.The wood also feels a lot lighter.

Guys do suggest how to go about finishing this grip as it is softwood and i do not know much about this particular type.

One easy finish would be to stick a paste of saw dust. but I am sure there are several other methods, which Mack The Knife and other seniors will input

About balance i have to practice for couple of 100 pellets with these to find out.Since m a beginner in this sport still on the learning curve.

The overall finish is definitely awesome and if it helps improve your score, nothing like it... BTW, would you want to give it a finish to match the color of the grip adjustable.. just so that it looks so much more complete... and carve out your initials somewhere

Need some advice from you.I would like to know how to apply silicon grease on the seals especially in compression chamber.I am confused a little as i donot have silicon oil for now.Do i have to dismantle the gun to do this?Please guide me.Thanks in advance.
