Sisco air gun
Hey people,
Please help me out, I recently got a sisco smooth bore for 500 bucks from a friend, I cleaned the whole rifle with HW-40, put the GSmith spring and washer...copied the stock from my cousins Cometa...did stipling for a better grip, got a dovetail made by a vertical mill owner. But the problem is that this gun wont shoot the pellets headon...I mean it is accurate and powerful but if I use a pointed head pellet it does not hit head first, I mean it gets imprinted on the wooden piece sideways...I thought I'll use it for shooting BBs but did not get any...What do I do?..
Regards,
R.Dhillon.

Re: Sisco air gun
you can't do anything. It is normal for smooth bore. Use bb for the best option.
If you indeed need your pellet's head to hit, reduce the power of your gun.

Yes, no rifling will not induce a spin on the pellets... Try to use pellets with different shapes. Some of them 'may' go head on....tirths";p="53920 wrote: you can't do anything. It is normal for smooth bore. Use bb for the best option.

BBs can be got from most mechanics, lathes, and all those who use bearings.. try one of the garage junk dumps...

Ten X is absolutely right. Try different pellets. Pointed pellets are seldom a favourite. Try a pellet with a shorter length so that it mimics a BB as close as possible. Captain shots or Marshal shots I think are small. Perhaps the wood that you are using as a stop is very hard and the pointed pellet goes into a yaw on contact. Did you try cycle shops for the BBs

Round headed pellets are the best for a sisco. Try marshal shot ones they are good.
