Simply put,

Its the sweetest shooting springer I've come across! Not much in terms of power, but very accurate and appropriate for club level 10m target practice.

Jonah, how is the trigger? does it create any problem on accuracy?

I have a Slavia 631 .177 air rifle. It is of good quality and very accurate aim. I have been shooting with it and getting good result for a beginner

As a new guy (from the sunny Netherlands) who still needs to get the hang of this place, I warmly greet you.

The reason I put up my first post here:

I also own a Slavia, allthough I have the 630, and for a very good reason. It was quite cheap, and used (that's why it was so cheap). It has had a Lubetune and Spring-guide kit installed (by a good airgunning friend). It will do around 9.5 Ftp and it is more accurate then a HW30S. I know so, because that aformentioned friend has one, that has also been tuned, and the old Slavia will outshoot it.

The 630 began production at the end of the seventies, hence it's long length (1160 Centimeters, or 1 Meter 16) which seems to have been quite in fashion at the days. I'm not sure how long it took CZ to bring the 631 and 634 on the market. 630/631 are pretty much the same on the inside. The 634 can be considered a nice mid-class air rifle. The 631 has a cocking safety that is not on the 630, and I'm quite gratefull of that.

The 630 isn't very well balanced, and has a Junior stock so it's not really the most comfortable gun to shoot. The stock on the 631 seems a bit longer, solving this problem. Best thing to go with would be a 630 in a 631 stock, I think.

I can recommend this rifle because it's so easy to work on and it's quite affordable too (over here it is). It got me into understanding how spring pistoned rifles work. I can also shoot this in the yard, unlike my Diana 48 (Which is shorter: 1100 Centimeters).

Welcome to IFG, and thanks for the info on the Slavia. If I am not mistaken, the oly difference between the 630 and 631 is the stock. The other part of the gun is more or less the same, other than the added auto-safety and the scope rail ...

As one can see, the cocking hinge of the '31 is sligthly differing from the '30. This is illustrated in the upper right corner.

One of the nice features of these guns is, that the cocking arm isn't attached to the tube, but held against it by a square spring located in the stock. When opening up for maintenance, one doesn't have to take of the barrel, like with for instance a HW30.

I had a .22 Slavia 630 many years ago, It is quite accurate and powerful but this depends how often you lubricate the barrel etc. The Auto-Safety button is one of its best features that make the rifle.

I've found that the stock on the 630 is a bit on the short side. Did you put a solution to that? By the way, it's not really powerfull, it's a 7.5 joule rifle that will do about 170 mps (557 fps), however, with custom spring guides, it's capable of doing up to 200/210 mps (656 fps) depending on the age of the spring and the pellet you're using. That's about 9.5 joule, which allows it to be able to reach 50 meters.

I already Bought a GAMO 3-9x32 SCOPE from Dubai VIA EMS @325 AED, for my in-Future air gun!!!
I don't know it will be Fit or not on my Slavia631!!!
