Flight of the Eagle

Since no one bothered to comment/suggest anything on my post about the Desert Eagle  , I went ahead and ordered it a couple of days back 8) . She's leaving the shores of USA tonight and should be here by 6th of August. Here's what I ordered:

Desert Eagle .177 CO2 Blowback Airpistol
Walther PS22 Electronic Point Sight
Some Pellgun Oil
Some spare magazines.

I already have some powerlets (my cousin has a CP99 and about 25 of the powerlets which he hasn't used ever in his life) so now I need some guidance from all Delhi IFGians on where I can find some quality pellets for my Eagle. Again any and all help will be appreciated.

Will keep everyone posted on the progress of the Eagle.

Use gsmith's p-10 or any other .177 pellet made by them. Their roundnose pelleta are quite okay.

Where did you order it from? Is it coming by post?

I ordered it through Dean at Topairgun (www.topairgun.com). It did take some time to coordinate (Damn pyramid people kept me on a yo-yo...in stock/out of stock) so I got kind of pissed off and ordered it for FedEx Air Express!

It's already worked out to be pretty expensive :( but what the heck....like i always say "Tharak aur rocket, insaan ko kahin bhi le ja sakte hain!"

If you'r from delhi G. Smith pellets can be bought from Garg Armoury or you can call up gunmark and other them directly.

G-smith didn't quite work for my CP88. I use RWS Hobby or H&N Finale. They fit well and are consistent- very well made.

Since the order had been delayed for almost 25 days due to non-availability, I ordered FedEx which will cost me about $125-00. USPS would've been about $60-65. However USPS would have taken about a month to reach me...FedEx so far is guaranteeing delivery on 6th, dispatched on 31st July. I hopefully will just have to pay import duty.

Will post pics when I get it in my hand.

Whats the total value of the pistol on the invoice? I had to pay 14% CVD on my 460 mag as the value was above 20k. Not sure if you will have to pay.

The total cost of the shipment including the airgun, scope and freight will be somewhere around $400-425.... so I guess I might have to pay the duty.
I don't mind it though as long as FedEx can get it cleared and delivered without any hitches. However I am working on my DSRA/NRAI membership so hopefully next time around, when I get a couple more either in baggage or by courier, I won't have to pay the duties.
