Ketan,
I assume you have the use of a mainspring compressor if you planning to change it yourself. Mainsprings are compressed under tension when inside the powerplant, and can cause injury if you attempt to change it without a compressor.

Hey guys,
The cocking effort now with G-Smith spring has redused now & after firing it gives the tight noise just like a firearm & cloud of smoke after every shot.
Accuracy is also fine at 10mts it gives me 1" groups of 5 shots.
But guys any of you know the spring manufacturers rather than G-Smith & cherokee??????

Amongst the best, if not the best springs are made by John Knibbs, UK under the brand name Titan and Ox. Brochure claims it will not lose power even when gun is left cocked. Will cost nearabout an IHP gun though! I have one to spare for Diana Mod-35 and equivalent guns (BSA Airsporter/Mercury/Challenger/635Magnum/Supersport/Superstar/Goldstar/Centenary; Air Arms Firepower/Jackal/Woodsman/Prosport; Diana Original Mod-34/35/36/38/4548/52; RWS Firebird; Falke Mod80-90; HW77/HW99), along with original Trigger and Piston Head Washer For Diana Mod-35. Rs. 5000/- for the set.

But not every gun can take poweful springs. I remember somone telling me that a james maccari spring instaled in an IHP resulted in the gun getting damaged because of the extraordinary spring power.

Yup firts the screws will go loose, and then the trigger mechanism starts become unstable.
Overall a careful mating of spring, guide, piston etc are required.

James Maccari is great but its not much of a point using it on a IHP 35.

Want to experiment with springs??? try a brand new spring of a Luna
Now before anyone asks. I have not tried it.
I however did try a spring (was told that it was from the internals of the shocks of a Maruthi 800 which i doubt.)
The spring went soft after a few shots. I guess that is because it was ground down a bit to fit into the mod 35.
So i switched to Cherokee and its been high on power since.
I have heard of ppl using Luna springs and that they were happy with the results how long they were happy i do not know.
If anyone is game to try this then do let us know.
