POLL : What is the maximum price you would pay
What is the maximum price you would pay for an improved IHP / National Springer with an improved trigger ( say at least 50% better than the present one) and synthetic piston and breech seals.

I've selected the second option as I believe $150 is about the maximum I'd be willing to pay for an improved IHP/ National with a good 2 stage trigger. Considering the retail prices of decent springers in USA, I think it should be quite doable within that range.
Cheers!

I am with you on this. I myself chose the 6K to 8K option. The more than 8K option is for unforeseen circumstances. I am told Labour costs and time for making a good modular 2 stage trigger is very high.

The price should actually depend on the production run - the more pieces to be produced per production run, the lower the per unit cost. This is the way it works for pretty much all manufactures...

Re: POLL : What is the maximum price you would pay
if it has a quality trigger in 2 stage i wud pay 10000,since the other things like finish etc i can improve on my own,but just a 2 stage nice trigger will get me all in a rifle whose parts wud be later available 'easily',i had in the past paid 10000 for gunmark 350 just because of a better finished product with 'consistancy'per shot with a imported czeck barrel.
cheers sanjiv

This is between a rock and a hard place... Given good quality and wood work, apart from improving trigger only, the price would be dearer. But the sheer thought of a company like IHP improving is brilliantly creative ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

LOL,
Ambassador car in a Honda Civic body.
I can possibly agree. But the machinery for these models 25 and 35 were imported in 1967. It was more of an initiative of an avid shooter (Mr. Walchand) than a sound business idea. So yes they are outdated models, under powered for today and all that. All other models are now discontinued, they had side lever springer, less powerful than the 35 and a CO2 which was quite good. The 25 and 35 are the only ones selling well hence remain in production. With a few hick ups from time to time.
I understand IHP is making some profit with the 25 and 35 hence the division is alive, if not they would have closed it down long time ago.
Whatever it was I believe we have at least one Indian manufacturer turning out guns of a much better quality than its local competitors.
Here's hoping we succeed in what I have started.
I failed to mention, the prices are purely indicative.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Re: POLL : What is the maximum price you would pay
If it were not a POS there would be no need for this poll
It is not an international class air rifle, matching Diana, Gamo or BSA, but for the price of Rs. 4,000 to 5,000, it is decent to start with if used with proper imported medium power air rifle pellets it is quite accurate.
An improved version of international standards with good finish and enhanced power and performance woul be greatly welcome by Indian shooters for anything ranging from Rs. 6,000 to 10,000.
If they produce an improved version, for sure a ready market is very much there.

Re: POLL : What is the maximum price you would pay
Forget about the finish.Just improve the quality.Better fit so that the entire mechanism doesn't start jumping around in the stock after some time, better stock design, better wood for the stock, better sights, better barrel and a better barrel link
