Hello freinds,
Can any of you provide me a feed back on the synthetic stocks used on air rifles? My son ordered one Diana Panther series Mod 31 Compact in .22 caliber with this stock! Will these stocks good for our indian climate? Much obliged for your expert feedbacks please.

Hello SS Kumar

AFAIK synthetic stocks are meant to do just that.. Get rid of sensitivity of wooden stocks to inclement weather! But you do have to be careful with synthetic stocks as they are sensitive to petroleum based oils.

All weather performance is exactly what they are meant for.

But once you get used to fine Walnut and Beechwood stocks it takes a lot of adjustment mentally to accept these stocks. I have not done so till date but might acquire a gun / rifle with a synthetic stock soon.

Technically it exceeds the merit of wood stocks on almost all counts, so its a good choice your son has made.

and what do you mean by 'ordered'?
you seem to live in india and its unlikely to get a panther .22 readily here.
if your son has ordered online to get it via post , it will be consficated as import of .22 caliber is banned via courier route

its ok if he is carrying it back with him
