Today morning, the postman finally delivered my new airgun, a Diana 460 Magnum in .177 calibre. It was imported by post from Munich, Germany. With it I also have a Diana ProSport scope (3*9x40).

I used DHL. The scope was brought by personal baggage by one of my relatives. I caused no problem whatsoever. I was charged 14.3% tax.
Doing the exact calculations on cost as still have not received courier costs from my relatives who shipped the gun from Germany. Will let you know as soon as possible.
Regards,
Browning.

hi browning,
first of all i wud like to congratualate you for your new toy

.
and i would like to bring to your notice from the second picture that your scope had shifted backwards ,since the scope pin cudnt hold itself (if any)in the hole of the scoperail,a classic example in all dianas, mine also had caused the same problem,in magnum powered guns due to double recoil present in airrifle, the scope pin cuts itself out of the hole in the scoperail.
try locating the stopper pin ahead and infront of the rail, just hang it down and dont put it in the shallow holes in the rail, that will solve the problem.
nb-incase you had not put any scope stop pin than get one and hang it in the front of the scoperail through the one piece mounts.
cheers sanjiv

Congratulations.
This is a magnum class rifle and the scope will take a heavy beating. Good that it has a single piece mount with four bindings. Push it forward and tighten the bolts very tight till the limit.
Also use a scope arrestor block to avoid the scope creep if it happens ( it might, on many Diana's including less powerful ones like 35 it does happen ). Use a Diana arrestor block or any other available.
If scope is creeping in the rings after firing 50 / 60 shots then post it here, I will suggest a remedy.
