yes i had done some long range spinner plinking with my modded gunmark 350,around 40,50 and 60 mts.
u need to adjust scope but the pell still makes noise after hitting the spinner and mushroom itself.
cheers sanjiv.
have some video footage but need to compress it for getting you an youtube link.

Re: Long range target shooting with air rifles....
ok had used different pells from gsmith, but i found the high impact very good groupings of 1.5Inches roughly at 5omts and free hand no support, also high splits were good at 40 mts but not much good groupings, good part was it mushroomed well.
didnt keep very accurate data of that event, but i remember the distances since they were marked for 30 mins under scorching sun .

1.5" group at 50 mtrs is very good. That would be .22 right ? The imported barrel on the Gunmark airrifle is a serious piece of equipment. Any marking on it as to what make or where it is made ?

I spoke to Prasad about a couple of weeks back and asked him about the Gunmark 350 in .177. He said they will be available in September.
I believe he was talking of the G350 in general not .177 coz dont know if any one has a G350 in .177

manish they do have one in .177 and its a beautiful gun, specially the design of the adjustable butt and cheek piece of the stock,i had checked that one while i had picked my .22,although later they stopped production of both the calibers as they were coming up with newer models,i have not seen the newer ones yet.fantumfan2003";p="43715 wrote:I spoke to Prasad about a couple of weeks back and asked him about the Gunmark 350 in .177. I have tried both the .177 and .22 at 50 m on a range ( indoor and airconditioned ) 50 m would be close to 55 yards.
Both the rifles are scoped. Pellet drop was over 3 inches in both cases. Grouping is good at this range the scope has to be set at 50 m to compensate for the drop or a millidot scope has to be used.
At 100 m the pellet drop was over 8 inches and groups opened up.
Definetely not air rifle range.
THe air rifles used were.
.177 Diana Model 68 ( same as 35 pwr plant ) with Bushnell SPorsman 3-9 x 32
.22 Weirauch HW 80 with Nikko Sterling 6-12 x 40 scope.

hi shahid
50 m is very good. i am impressed but a little short of 1KM range, do you not think so.
i am sure that the pellet would go a little more distance if there was no back stop.
perhaps we should use bigger springs to give that extra power.

if you say it can not be done, then you are right, for you, it can not be done.

because 1km (1000m) is quite a distance for an air rifle. not too sure its possible...

Re: Long range target shooting with air rifles....
Do they still have it in stock ? He said September. But I am sure you have up to date info since you are from the same city. Man a G350 in .177 would make a fine field target rifle.
Do let us know on the latest if you can.
I have a doubt. The G350 seems to be built around a IHP 35 ( I am may be wrong, so please do not be offended ) The barrel is different of course. Can you share your views on this ?
Thanks
M.
