I live in uttaranchal so an suggested dealer in uttaranchal or delhi would really be helpful...
if no what is the documantation needed for importing this air rifle...

can my membership card from rana institute of shooting sports (RISS) help me in this case?

$149 is without scope, you should check for better options.

Check with your institue staff if your membership is valid for import or not, other-wise state rifle club / association membership is a MUST.

Indeed at $149 you have better options than a BAM. There are some good guns in Crossman and Beeman line. Also, I would recommend Mac1airgun. Their prices are better and shipping is cheaper too.

Depends purely on what you are planning to use the gun for? Simple plinking or target practice or something else....
There is a huge varierty out there.

this is not for target prctice this is general shooting or plinking only b'coz in institute i m practicing with pistol...

please share with me which Crossman and Beeman Also Mac1airgun rifle is good for this case

Whats your spending limit and preferred power source?

With CO2 refills difficult to get, a spring-piston gun is the best bet. Check out this Beeman which delivers the same power as the BAM you had chosen.

RISS official told me that i am eligble to import air weapon on my membership card because institute is attetch with state rifle association...

thanks to seniors for great advise so i am thinking again which air wepon suit for my need???

i prefer side lever spring air rifle or spring pistol, due to power & running cost....

if CO2 refill available in delhi or near to UK, CO2 air wepon is ok with me.....

Co2 is refillable in Delhi but you have to get the adapters made to refill with. The most reasonable rifle you can try for is a QB 78 from a tuner like mac1airgun with a .177 barrel. There is also the qb 79 which is more target rifle like. Your costs may vary between 15 and 20 thousand thanks to the duty waiver but 14% excise will still need to be paid.

Excise duty is payable on goods "manufactured" in India. It cannot be levied on imports.

Is this 14% some category of special import/customs duty ??

I don't know but the guy wrote down 14% +2% of CIF for excise and handling charges. Since I was tired after four hours I thanked them all and left. Your point sounds right but they said there is no way outa the 14%. Another guy a renowned shot had spent the morning trying to find a way out but he was still in orbit when we left.

I think it is called CVD duty in technical parlace...

BUT, the guys at the customs will not bother to argue with you... so 14% + it is... !!
