Introducing My 2 Air Guns

Hi Buddy's !!

Yesterday couldn't have been better than this  got a call from my friend that he is in a gun shop ( in aligarh ) and selecting air guns. He told some features and I asked him to bring in the stuff to delhi.....so finally now I have my air rifles and 2 of them.

First one - I call it Black Beauty - Its a 0.22 Cal Crome plated with black deco stock. Smooth & Soft, Effortless cocking.... 8)

Second one - I call it Big Bro- Its a 0.22 Cal Wood Stock with long black barrel with thumb rest hole, pettle stocking place, noise suppressor, Peep Sight ...

They were in my hand on the eve of 17/1, but by the time I cud reach home it was quite dark, but my eyes were bright enough to lookout for my target, quicky un-packed both of them showed to my family and make a quick way to roof. Found a wood staircase and empty shirt box .... placed the box on stare case and fixed it. Took my position at 10Mts aimed at my target with Big Bro there it go right on target ( see pix as marked X ) fired 2 shot with each of my guns. Found 3 completely flate pellets and burries on back wall. It was too dark to shoot so I left it there.

Today morning, back to my range at 8.30 what a lovely morning. Took out Black Beauty & a old phone directory - placed directory in the empty shirt box and placed it again. 1st Shoot, on target ----analysis in process ---- 4 more shoots all grouped well ( see pix marked 1 to 5 ). It penetrated box & totally 341 pages of directory so about power I leave it upto gurus " to analysie and rate it for me" :?:

Black beauty has a great handeling and quite balance and makes a good noise too ===. Trigger is hard may be need to fire some more shoots  .

Will try the Big Bro later 2day and put up its review as well.

More pix can be seen over here :

I guess they are Kanpur made, only Kanwal can let us know about that.
I never had any good experience with any Calcutta made air rifeles as their spring goes out of form in some time of shooting ( in about 2000 pellets)…the bore of the gun starts to loose and then it stops aiming at one point and the pellet moves in a different location at every shot…the solution for that can be – making the barrel short or going for a complete change. This is my experience with the Calcutta ones however I find one made in Kanpur are much more reliable and lasts long. That’s the reson why people prefer to shell more money and go for RWS or BSA or any reputated company. The bottom line is that the Indian company air rifeles loose threds after some time. But it is your call in the end.
