Im a newbee to airguns. M 45 Years, 170 cm, 84 Kg. Tamilnadu, Tuticorin.

Purpose : hobby, indoor & outdoor.

Looking for : wood stock, scopeable, accurate, above average powered, range upto or more than 70m, service free models.

Budget below 10,000 Rs.

I shortlisted 3 models after digging this forum & net. Not interested in Nitro Piston, as i do not want to search for spares / service as it seems little cumbersome.

1. AK 500 Agni
2. SDB Artemis
3. SDB Genex.

Which one i can choose, Or any other better models Also tell me what else should i buy along with gun, pellets, spares, maintenance tools etc. I don't want to search and place orders often.

Also suggest me a good service provider (online) to purchase from, i have shortlised Kovibazar.

Thanks in advance.

Hi ,

If you compromise on wood stalk and bit extend pricing NX200 Athena will be best bet ..

I do have Artemis and she's great gun in accuracy but the scope stop holes are very much shallow and the scope always creeps back die to high power recoil and am using top quality mounts .

So if you want to shoot long range , use scope effectively without creeping back add nx200 in the list .as it has deep scope stop pin holes .. And if you want wood then Xena is the one to go .

If you don't want to scope then the above 3 can be compared as you have listed..

Cheers ,
Pravin

PH NX200 is a Nitro Piston, good power and precision Air rifle in this 13 - 14 K price Range, but you have to compromise with synthetic stock, if you wish to for a best wooden stock air rifle in you budget SDB ARTEMIS is a good choice, or wish to spent little more like 12-13k budget, better blindly click SDB XENA , for gentle use no need to purchase any spare parts with the gun, they are good build quality, have to purchase pellets separately. Happy and safe shooting

Thanks Pravin & vishnu2017.

I don't like to have a fibre / plastic stock. I think i can go for Artemis as xena is out of my budget.

Someone pls tell me how good is kovibazaar service / any better alternates ?

Kovibazar is a good site for ordering Airrifles and other related items. I myself have ordered many a times from this site. However, i have found that they ship a bit late after placing of the order.
