Hi,
I also tried my hand at shooting balloons
with the air rifle at a fair it was a 0.177” Indian made air rifle.

The shooting parlous of local fair's use .177 specifically from the initial days. in very early days they used slugs with both ends looking similarly pointed which was purchased /KG basis. On present day availability of slugs are scarce. Continuing the tradition still they are using .177 however they are using pellets. These pellets are also purchased /KG basis. Usually of inferiors quality without any labeling. I my self got once one kg packet to see the quality.
Additional note these galleries prefer SDB made air guns as witnessed their purchase trend at gun shops later they just cut down few coils of the spring for decreasing the velocity & easy loading.
