Introducing my all new PH NX200 Athena to my brothers here. Really impressed with the finish of this rifle. Looks too classy to be believed. I purchased it from 10kya.com and the cost of Rifle comes to Rs. 15220.
Haven't shot a single pellet from it yet. Will update the results in the days to come!!
Regards
Prasanjit

Hello everyone. There is an update. I took to testing the rifles accuracy and power today and found that the rifle is indeed very very accurate. Posting a picture of grouping at 10 yards here which was shot at benchrest position with open sights!
However, the power output of the rifle seems to be not upto the mark. While Precihole in their launch video had demonstrated claiming 8.4 grain pellets getting an average velocity of 880 fps, the results I got with my chronograph is 760-770 fps with the same pellets. This means the actual power output of the rifle is below 11 fpe instead of 14 fpe as claimed by Precihole in their launch video.

Too good for grouping....
This power output may be low as the AR did not undergo at least some 500 shots.
I wish you wait and allow it to settle.
Corrective action can be taken after that.
Again....great grouping...

Is it possible that the problem lies in the chronograph ? Calibration error maybe

.If not this is unacceptable from a reputed manufacturer. You must write to Precihole about this.

I had a word with Dr. Shirsat about this as I placed this matter to him on personal message via whatsapp. The conversation is as follows:-
"Myself:- Hello Sir, Good Afternoon. I chronied the NX200 rifle just now and my rifle is only returning me around 10-11fpe. It is shooting 232-234mps with 8.4 grain pellets. What should I do now?
Doc:- Try JSB exact 8.44.
Myself:- I tried with Precipell and RWS pellets both..
Doc:- RWS and Precipells have thicker skirts and harder alloy hence may be giving lower efficiency than JSB which use thinner skirts and softer alloy. Also due to the thickness of the electroless nickel plating the bore size is 20 microns tighter as compared to blackened barrels."
.
.
.
.
.
.
I feel I should wait for run in of the barrel and check the outcome later.

Sir, try pushing the pellet a quarter of a centimetre deep in the breech using a Pen with refill removed and check for chroney results .This (Deep Seating)works for me while shooting pellets with thick skirt. That includes
Precipell Field Target and Sting pellets.Doing so raises the point of impact of my NX100 Polaris by 2 mils at 30 yards.Which is clear indication of higher velocity than non seated pellet.

We now need a detailed comparison between Xena and Athena. Waiting for the analysis and comments from veterans.
Addl input is that NX100 can't be upgraded to NX200, as told by precihole rep.

The stock is synthetic but wooden theme so it looks like wood but is not. The finishing is absolutely worldclass.

Update of NX200 Wood RF.
I visited the Precihole factory and happened to test a few pellets in their testing range and the details are as follows.
1) Precipell 8.7 grain pellets delivered around 800 fps
2) JSB 8.44 grains delivered around 840-851fps.
3) JSB 7.7 grains delivered around 900-905 fps.
As mentioned by Doc himself, the NX200 rifle seems to love the soft lead pellets more than the hard ones. Also I am willing to see how the rifle behaves after 800-1000 shots. I am just around 80-100 shots. as of now..
Wil update in times to come.

this looks like a very good purchase. I'm on the fence between sdb artemis and nx200, but the Nitro Piston is pulling me like a neodymium magnet.
@prasanjit.baul - how is the rifle now? what's the velocity you're getting? all sorted ?

Forget Artemis. Xena is now SDB's flagship
